Lumbini world peace forum joins hands with Muktinath Bikas Bank limited for plantation drive in Dailekh

Dailekh, Feb 5: Lumbini World Peace Forum, in partnership with Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited, organised a plantation drive in Naumule Rural Municipality of Dailekh district to promote environmental conservation and climate action.

As part of the initiative, 275 pear (naspati) trees were planted under Muktinath Bikas Bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. The plantation was carried out at multiple locations including the premises of Naumule Rural Municipality, Ward No. 5 areas of Gachmali Dada and Naulathar, the Geta Bhairab Avisal Dada area, Laligurans Secondary School, Naumule–3 areas of Kopre Khola and Bhade, and Naumule–2 Baluwatar.

The activity was conducted under the “One Million Trees” campaign of Lumbini World Peace Forum, focusing on increasing green cover and raising awareness about the importance of tree plantation for biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.

Founder and President of Lumbini World Peace Forum, Basu Gautam, was present at the programme, along with Naumule Rural Municipality Chair Chhabiram Subedi and Vice-Chair Ganga Bahadur Shahi, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged community participation in environmental protection.

Local representatives, school authorities and community members actively participated in the plantation drive. The organisers expressed their gratitude to Naumule Rural Municipality for its coordination and support and stated that similar environmental initiatives will continue in other parts of the country.
