By our correspondent,Inaruwa, Feb. 4: The Rising Nepal daily’s Inaruwa correspondent Jayakrishna Yadav has been honoured by the Kuduk Music Group, Sunsari, in recognition of his contribution to the preservation and promotion of the language, arts, literature and culture of the Uraon community.
The honour was presented during the Third Uraon Folk Cultural Programme held in Inaruwa Municipality on Monday.
The event was organised by the Nepal Uraon Indigenous Nationalities Foundation in collaboration with the Kuduk Music Group.
According to Foundation Secretary Sampat Lal Uraon, a total of 93 cultural teams from Koshi Province and teams from Bara and Parsa districts of Madhes Province participated in the programme, showcasing traditional Uraon dances, songs and fashion shows.
