Fog and Mist likely over Tarai region today

Kathmandu, Feb 1: Fog and mist is likely at some places over the Tarai region today. Furthermore, generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces.

Partly cloudy conditions are likely over the remaining mountainous areas including Koshi Province, while the weather will remain mainly fair over the rest of the country, says the 8:00 am bulletin by the Meteorological Forecasting Division. There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces.

Later tonight, fog is likely to continue in few places in the Tarai region. Generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while the weather will remain mainly fair over the rest of the country. 

In addition, there is possibility of light snowfall and rain at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.

Furthermore, the meteorological analysis by the Division states that a western low-pressure system is currently affecting the western region of the country.(RSS)
