By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 29: The psychological thriller film, ‘The Blue Light,’ will be released in cinema halls across the country on Friday.
Artistes Benisha Hamal, Shrishti Shrestha, Arpan Thapa, Mahesh Tripathi and Ayushman Desraj Joshi play the lead roles in The Blue Light.
Child artistes Grisma Katuwal and Sahara Sharma are also part of the film.
Benisha said she is confident the film will win the hearts of audiences. “It is something different from the films we are currently watching,” said Benisha.
She said that she joined the project as a producer as well because she liked the film’s content and performances. She is also the executive producer of the film. She said that the subject matter and presentation of the psychological thriller are its main attractions.
Likewise, actress Shrishti Shrestha, who has so far been seen mostly in beauty-centric and romantic roles, will be seen in a ‘negative’ role in this film. She had earlier worked in the thriller film 11:55, but said that her role in The Blue Light is different from her role in previous films.
“My role in this film is somewhat antagonistic in nature. I have been offered roles in thriller-genre films before, but the role and story of The Blue Light are extremely deep and different,” she said.
Actor Arpan Thapa said that in The Blue Light, they have presented a character whose psychology will compel the audience to think.
The Blue Light has been directed by Baliram Chauhan, marking his directorial debut. Presented by Skyfall Pictures, the film’s executive producers are cinematographer Narendra Mainali and actress Benisha Hamal. The film features cinematography by Narendra Mainali.
