Three ordinances presented in National Assembly

Kathmandu, Jan 23: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal presented three ordinances in the meeting of the National Assembly today.

The ordinances tabled by the Home Minister include:  'The Voters List Act, 2073 Amendment Ordinance, 2082', 'The House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082' and 'The Nepal Special Service Act (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2082'.

Similarly, Kamala Pant, Chairperson of the Committee on Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance, presented the 'National Integrity Policy Study Report, 2082' in the National Assembly session. 

Likewise, Tulasa Kumari Dahal, Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, presented the committee's report on the 'Tourism Bill, 2081' to the Upper House.

In the meeting, Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal read out the letters received from the President's office regarding the formation of the Council of Ministers and the assignment of their responsibilities.

The meeting passed a condolence motion on the demise of former ministers Rishikesh Gautam, Mohammad Aftab Alam, Amod Prasad Upadhyay, Homnath Dahal and former MP Krishna Kumari Shrestha.

The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Tuesday, January 27 at 1:15pm. (RSS)
