By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 3: Journalist Bhoj Raj Thapa was honoured on the occasion of the 13th National Costume Day and International Topi Day in Kathmandu on Thursday. Thapa has been actively engaged in social journalism and consistently raising issues of public concern.
The honour was presented to Thapa by the Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel. According to the organisers, the award was given in appreciation of Thapa’s continuous contribution to youth-focused, responsible, and socially accountable journalism.
Just a few days earlier, Thapa was also honoured with the Rapti Journalism Award 2082 at the 9th National Rapti Music Award ceremony organised by Rapti Samaj Kathmandu.
A felicitation and award ceremony was held at the Nepal Tourism Board, where individuals from various fields were recognised for their significant contributions.
Those honoured included senior engineer Shankarnath Rimal, the designer of the national flag, Nepal Jaycees 2026 President Jeevan Karki, Miss Nepal 2025 winner Luna Luintel, topi activist Shankar Banjade, lyricist Lokraj Adhikari, taekwondo referee Dipendra Dhakal, writer Archana Jha, spiritual preacher Sanjelji Maharaj, Deepkishore Bhattarai, Kabindra Neupane (Baman), and other distinguished personalities.
