Chhiring Sherpa honoured with two awards

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Jan. 2: Actress and model Chhiring Sherpa won two awards at the Nepal Nations Award 2025, held in the capital recently. 

She received the Best Female Model for Mother Language Song award for the Sherpa song Syarkhumbuki Samdini and the Best Actress award for the Sherpa film Tinchen Phama.

The awards programme was organised by the Man Khusi Foundation, Bagmati Province, in collaboration with the Karan Dreams Foundation Central Committee.

Chhiring is the winner of Dancing with the Stars Nepal 2022. In the same year, she set a Guinness World Record in the category of Highest Altitude Choreographed Dance on Land at Kalapatthar.

She is also an Everest summiteer, model, actress, and event organiser.

The programme was held in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Belkotgadhi Municipality, Nuwakot, and Chandragiri Municipality, Kathmandu.
