Three books launched in Nepalgunj

By Siraj Khan,Nepalgunj, Dec. 28: Three literary works were unveiled at a programme organised by Lumbini Literary Foundation, Nepal – Banke District Committee, in Nepalgunj on Saturday. 

“Dhukdhuki Ma Desh” by Bharat Bahadur Ranabhat, District President of the Foundation, “Chandraghrya” by Chandrawati Adhikari, Vice President, and “Bhupendra Subedi Ka Kavita” by Bhupendra Subedi were jointly unveiled by former Head of the Central Department of Nepali, Tribhuvan University, Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Ghimire.

The programme, chaired by Bharat Bahadur Ranabhat, President of Lumbini Literary Foundation Banke, featured a review of “Dhukdhuki Ma Desh” by Dr. Rajkumar Tharu, Associate Professor and literary critic from Mahendra Multiple Campus, Nepalgunj.

Similarly, Dr. Pushkar Rizal, Associate Professor at Bageshwari Multiple Campus, Kohalpur, reviewed “Bhupendra Subedi Ka Kavita”.

Additionally, Dr. Hari Timilsina, Central Secretary of the Progressive Writers’ Association Nepal and Associate Professor at Mahendra Multiple Campus, Nepalgunj, reviewed “Chandraghrya” along with the other two works. He stated that all three collections strongly expressed the voice of the nation and the contemporary era, reflecting an optimistic, humanistic outlook, while emphasising social reform, the eradication of corruption, and patriotic sentiment.

Former Head of the Central Department of Nepali, Prof. Dr. Ghimire, remarked that the simultaneous publication of three literary works demonstrates the rich and fertile literary landscape of Banke.

Former Campus Chief of Mahendra Multiple Campus, Nepalgunj, Prof. Dr. Gopal Sharma Adhikari, stated that the publication of two metrical poetry collections and one prose poetry collection has added a new dimension to Banke’s literary scene.

The programme also featured remarks on poetry and literature by academicians of Nepal Academy Gyanis Mahananda Dhakal and Shashiram Karki, senior writers Narendra Jung Peter and Khagendra Kopila, General Secretary of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bhim Bahadur Ranabhat, and Vice President of Karisma Yogi Foundation Banke, Chandrawati Adhikari, among others.
