Third Shangri-la Sambad on fiction writing

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 19: The Shangri-la Literature Festival is hostising its next edition of Shangri-la Sambad with popular, award winning author, Samrat Upadhyay, in conversation with translator Prawin Adhikari on December 20 in Lalitpur. 

Author of fiction books such as Guru of Love, Arresting God in Kathmandu and others, Upadhyay is popular among English readers.

The title of the dialogue is scheduled as 'Writing Nepal: Crafting Fiction' as per the director of the festival Ken Subedi. Adhikari is set to converse with Upadhyay on his 12-year long collaborator, sponsor and judge of the Writing Nepal: A Short Story Contest. He shall also be discussing the different elements of fiction and his experience of writing crafts.

The dialogue session shall be followed by poetry recitation sessions in both English and Nepali. Celebrated and young poets shall be reciting their poems. As per Subedi, poets Dr. Naba Raj Lamsal, Haris Adhikari, Bhuwan Thapaliya, Rajnimila, Rami Priya, Asmita Badi, Dev Brat, and Kripa Khanal are set to recite their best poems with the participants, mostly readers, authors and literature enthusiasts.
