Nepalgunj correspondent Khan feted

By Our Correspondent,Nepalgunj, Nov. 4: The Rising Nepal’s Nepalgunj correspondent, Siraj Khan, was honoured on the occasion of the 34th International Disability Day on Wednesday.

He received the recognition for his long-standing contribution to highlighting disability-related issues through the media. The National Federation of the Disabled, Nepal, presented the honour at a programme organised in Kathmandu to mark the day.

Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, and Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, awarded him a certificate of appreciation during the ceremony.

On the occasion, Minister Kharel and Deputy Mayor Dangol also honoured several individuals, including Pyuthan-based journalist Jumani Singh KC, for their significant contributions to the disability sector.

The event was held under the chairmanship of Devdutta Acharya, President of the National Federation of the Disabled, Nepal.
