By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 3: A poetry collection, ‘Dhulo Ma Heera’ by social worker and literary figure Gopal Paudel, was unveiled during a cultural event, Bhutani Sanjh-4, organised by the Bhutanese Society Canterbury New Zealand Incorporated.
The event was attended by several distinguished personalities, including the society’s founding president, Basu Mishra, current vice-president of NRNA New Zealand Krishna Bhandari, vice-president of the Nepalese Literature Society New Zealand, Namita Dawadi and police officer Sonu Diguchi, according to a statement received here.
After the launch, author Gopal Paudel expressed that no matter where he goes, he will continue to contribute to Nepali language and literature. “Through these poems, I have expressed my heartfelt sentiments for the unity of Nepali society and the Nepali people,” he said.
Likewise, Namita Dawadi, vice-president of the Nepalese Literature Society New Zealand, congratulated the author and shared her delight that such a profound poetry collection had been produced outside Nepal as well. “One can see transformation and change in Nepali poetry within this collection,” she said.
Poet Gopal Paudel has previously published several works, including ‘Katha Bhitrako Katha,’ ‘Machhaharuko Sahar,’ and
‘Hamro Pahichan.’
