By the Staff Reporter, Makwanpur, Dec 2: In Bagmati Province, more voters have been registering their name in voter list using National ID, rather than presenting in the election office for biometric process.
As on 21 November 2,05,167 have registered their name in voter list from the Election Offices of the province and through the National ID.
Out of total new registration 1,05,782 have registered name in voter list through National ID.
According to election officer of Provincial Election Office, Hetauda, Hari Prasad Dhakal, 99,385 have registered name through biometric presenting in the election office.
Kathmandu district registered highest number of names in voter list among the districts in the province where 62,452 have been registered.
In addition, 26,811 in Lalitpur, 22,263 in Chitwan, 20,177 Bhaktapur have been registered in voter list.
Similarly, 14,603 in Makwanpur, 14,329 in Kavrepalanchowk, 7,039 in Sindhuli have registered in voter list.
According to the Province Election Officer, Dhakal, 6,102 in Ramechhap, 6,678 in Dolakha, and 6,939 in Sindhupalchowk have registered.
The election office have informed that 8,430 in Dhading, 8,401 in Nuwakot, 934 have been registered in Rasuwa.
The election office have planned to conduct program to update voter list name from 6 December to 30 December.
There were 34,71,792 voters in Bagmati Province till 6 October.
