Kathmandu, Dec 2: Janakpur Bolts received a victory target of 177 runs from defending champions Janakpur Bolts in today's first match under the Second Edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL) currently underway at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Batting first after winning the toss, Chitwan Rhinos gathered 176 runs in 20 overs at the loss of four wickets.
Openers David Malan and Arjun Sawad contributed 80 runs and 52 runs, respectively. The two batters also contributed 112 runs in partnership.
In bowling, Anil Shah, Rupesh Singh, Maz Sadakat and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton took one wicket each.
Janakpur Bolts, at the bottom of the points table after losing four consecutive matches, wants to stay in the 'playoff' race by winning this game.
If defeated, Janakpur will be eliminated.
Chitwan, having won two out of four games, wants to strengthen its chances of playoff by winning this game.
