,Kathmandu, Nov. 22: A book titled Chiniya Drishtikona by journalist and writer Chetanath Acharya was made public amid a programme held in Kathmandu on Friday.
Acharya has been working as a foreign language expert in Beijing-based China Radio International for the past 12 years.
This is Acharya’s eighth book, and it deals with various aspects of China and its programmes in other nations. The book has been published by Makalu Group of Company.
Former Nepali ambassador to China, Lilamani Poudel, while congratulating the author, said that the book consists of 218 pages. He added that this is Acharya’s fifth book written about China and noted that the author, through his writings, has played the role of an ambassador.
He further added that book discusses issues such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI), Global Civilization Initiative (GCI) and Global Governance Initiative (GGI).
Among the five major initiatives introduced by China, the writer has explained four in detail, offering particularly extensive insights into the BRI, said Poudel.
The book also highlights various programmes and campaigns of China.
He has previously written several books, including Ritto Kothako Tasbir, Buddhako Upahar, Mera Aankhama China, China Chiyauda, Upahar, Ruiba, and Naya Yugma China.
The book was unveiled by Dev Raj Ghimire, Speaker of the House of Representatives, amid a huge gathering of writers, journalists, academicians and others.
