By A Staff Reporter,Sarlahi, Nov. 21: At least 500 local residents have benefited from a free health camp conducted in Pipaldamar, Ishwarpur Municipality, Sarlahi.
Health professionals and municipal officials provided their services at the camp. Of the total attendees, 130 individuals received general health consultations.
According to the Health Department of the Municipality, 67 women received maternity health services, and 30 women underwent screenings for cervical cancer. Among them, 10 women tested positive for cervical cancer.
Sugendra Mahato, the Coordinator of the Health Department, reported that many women received healthcare services from specialist doctors.
Residents of Pipaldamar, an area characterised by its remoteness, have historically lacked sufficient health and educational services.
During the event, 127 individuals underwent ophthalmologic examinations, with many referred to an upcoming surgical camp in Bayalbas.
Furthermore, pregnant women and 72 elderly individuals received comprehensive health services.
In addition to human health assessments, veterinary doctors conducted animal health checkups and distributed medicinal supplies for livestock.
Similarly, a local volunteer distributed winter apparel and educational materials to 127 students at Pipaldamar Basic School.
