By Ajay Shah,Gaushala (Mahottari), Nov. 14: The process of distributing identity cards to those injured during the Gen Z movement has begun in Mahottari district as per the directive of the government.
According to a notice issued on Wednesday, the District Administration Office, Mahottari, has requested individuals permanently residing in the district who were injured during the movement to contact the office with their original citizenship certificates.
The notice, signed by the Assistant Chief District Officer, read, “As per the instruction received from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Relief and Data Management Section) and the records of the Ministry of Health and Population, the identity cards will be distributed to individuals injured during the Gen Z movement. Therefore, the concerned persons are requested to visit the office to obtain their ID cards.”
As per the office record, those identified to receive the ID cards include Arvind Sah, 31, of Gaushala-9, Ranjan Kumar Yadav, 29, Sanjay Shrestha, 29, Rambabu Singh, 58, of Mahottari, Pradeep Singh, 29, and Sarvesh Yadav, 22, of Bardibas and Arun Sah, 31, Mahottari.
These individuals were injured during clashes in the movement and were treated at various hospitals, including the National Trauma Centre, Civil Service Hospital, Kirtipur Hospital and Ramechhap Hospital.
The administration office has urged the identified individuals to collect their ID cards within the given timeframe, warning that any delay might affect the distribution process, which is part of the government’s relief programme.
The Gen-Z movement had seen several clashes in different parts of the country, injuring many. The government initiated the ID card distribution process to properly manage the identification, medical expenses and relief assistance for those affected.
