Kathmandu, Nov 11: The Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the name of Madhesh Province Chief Minister Saroj Yadav not to take any measures that will have long-term impact.
A single bench of Justice Tek Prasad Dhungana today ordered Chief Minister Yadav not to take any policy decision that will have long-term impact on the province.
The court issued the order in response to a writ petition filed by Arjun Sah and Raki Prasad Sah on Monday. The court has given priority to the dispute and has called both the sides for the next hearing on November 26.
The order also states that a written response must be submitted by November 27.
Also today, the Supreme Court has did not issue an interim order on the writ petition filed by Arghakhanchi Cement Limited in relation to the power dues of the dedicated and trunkline services.
THe single bench of Justice Tek Prasad Dhungana refused to grant an interim order today and has summoned both parties for discussion on the matter on November 16.
The Nepal Electricity Authority had cut off power supply to the industry due to the tariff dispute.(RSS)
