Janakpurdham, Nov 11: Newly appointed Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, has said he accepted the post of chief minister for the institutional development of democracy.
Organizing a press conference at Janakpurdham today, he clarified that he was appointed as Chief Minister in accordance with the Constitution and accepted the post to resolve the problems of Madhes.
Yadav was appointed to the post of chief minister in accordance with Article 168 (3) of the Constitution as the CPN (UML) is the largest political party in Madhes Province Assembly.
CM Yadav pointed out the need of support of all political parties to resolve the problems of Madhes. Requesting the concerned sides to give up violent activities, he urged the media persons to disseminate factual news.(RSS)
