SKorean envoy calls on Finance Minister

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 4: Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-young, paid a courtesy call on Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal on Monday.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, Minister Khanal discussed the bilateral diplomatic relations between Korea and Nepal and expressed his gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Korean government. 

FM Khanal said that the status of the projects and programmes implemented with the assistance of Korea is satisfactory and added that the economic partnership with Korea will continue in the coming days.

During a recent meeting, Ambassador Park expressed his pleasure over 30 years of bilateral relations between the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the government of Nepal. 

He highlighted the coordination and cooperation that Nepal has maintained with Korea and KOICA throughout this period. The Ambassador also emphasised the importance of facilitating Korean investors to invest in Nepal and promoting Nepali products internationally, underscoring the mutual benefits of continued collaboration and partnership between the two countries.

He also informed about the Korean government's intention to establish a separate visa centre to facilitate the sending of Nepali workers to Korea for employment. 

Similarly, Ambassador Park requested for necessary facilitation as the process has been taken forward to provide concessional loans through the Agricultural Development Bank with the support of KOICA to promote entrepreneurship of Nepali citizens who have returned from Korea to Nepal after employment under the EPS system.
