By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, Sept. 26: Balidaan, set to release on Phulpati, September 29, has opened its advance ticket sales.
Distributors confirmed that most theaters across Nepal started selling tickets from Wednesday, with almost all theaters expected to open bookings by Thursday. The film is being distributed in Kathmandu Valley by Kafia Films and outside the Valley by Kuber Cine Distribution.
On Wednesday, Nepal’s largest multiplex chain, QFX Cinemas, allocated nearly 100 shows to Balidan, a number expected to rise further. Similarly, the second largest multiplex chain, INI Cinemas, has also allotted a significant number of shows for the film.
Other theaters across the country have also scheduled the film in large numbers. By the time of reporting, around 200 shows had already been secured nationwide, with the figure likely to reach 300. As soon as the advance ticket sales opened, many theaters witnessed a strong response from moviegoers.
Through its posters, pre-teaser, teaser, songs, and trailer, the film has already generated huge anticipation among audiences. According to director and producer Santosh Sen, Balidaan is not just a medium of entertainment but also a symbol of patriotism and love for mothers.
Produced under the banner of Ashusen Films, the film features Samir Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Reecha Sharma, Kavita Rai, Hemant Budhathoki, Prem Puri, among others. Pawan Bradford Bist is the producer, and Prem Puri is the executive producer of the film.
Along with Balidaan, the other two films, Maitighar and Haribahadurko Jutta, will be released on the same day across the nation.
