By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 25: Golchha Group has handed over 20 Bajaj motorcycles to the Traffic Police Office at Ramshahpath in Kathmandu.
The donation was made during a programme held at the Traffic Police Office at Ramshahpath on Tuesday.
The group said the motorcycles were provided to support traffic management and enhance the operational capacity of the traffic police.
Golcha Group emphasided that the donation is part of its corporate social responsibility, especially considering the country’s challenging circumstances.
Speaking at the handover, Golcha Group Chairman and Managing Director Shekhar Golcha said, “Now is not the time to focus on our business or personal concerns. We survive only if the state survives. No one can be safe in a stateless situation.” He further stressed the need for unity to strengthen the state.
Golcha expressed optimism about the future, comparing the current period to childbirth pain and asserting that the new generation’s dreams will eventually be realized. He urged citizens not to lose hope during difficult times and emphasized that contributing from one’s own capacity is essential to overcoming the country’s challenges.
He added that Golcha Group has consistently supported the traffic police during emergencies, reflecting their commitment to road safety.
Earlier, during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9, buildings and motorcycles under the Kathmandu Traffic Office were damaged and torched.
