Challenges faced by dalits are national problems: leader CP Gajurel

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug 6: A leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal, CP Gajurel, has said that the challenges the dalits of Nepal are facing are national problems.

He said so while speaking at a programming organized by Dalit awareness campaign today at Pipal Bot in New Road.

Leader Gajuel said that there is big injustice being inflicted by dalits. 

He said even though the government says that the constitution has guaranteed the right of dalit however it is not enough.

He said there a need of people’s uprising.  He also added that there is also economic injustice being face by dalits. Gajurel said dalits have only 10 per cent land and the rest of 90 per cent land appropriated by others.

Maoist leader Gajurel said there is uprising in India by dalits. The Indian government has been saying that inclusive rights will solve the problem of Dalit. However, it is not completely true and will not solve the problems being faced by dalits.  

He expressed his commitment for the national campaign and awareness programme focusing to raise the voice for injustice towards dalits.
