Suspension bridge over Ninda river
Jhapa, July 28: A suspension bridge was constructed over Ninda river in Mechinagar Municipality-15 in Jhapa district. The suspension bridge was constructed with an investment of Rs 43.8 million.
Initiated by the Urban Development Ministry, the bridge is 350 metres long. The bridge connects the Bircharni bazaar and Heldubari of Mechinagar Municipality.
The people of the areas had to travel for some five kilometres of route for lack of bridge connecting Bicharni and Heldubari areas in the past.
Thani Construction Pvt Ltd was awarded the contract bid for the bridge construction some two years ago. (RSS)
