Sangrila Sambad from this month

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 21: Shangri-la Literature Festival has announced that a monthly dialogue series, Shangri-la Sambad, will be held from this month. The inaugural dialogue will kick off on July 26 at Moksh Bar and Restaurant, Jhamsikhel, after 2 pm onwards. 

A press statement issued by Ken Subedi, director of the festival, read that the first dialogue would be dedicated to poetry.

"The dialogue event will have an interaction session between poets Tulasi Diwas and Ramesh Kshitiz," read the statement. It is informed that the session will cover the life and dedication of Diwas and the role of poetry in the development of culture. 

Following the interaction, poems will be presented by senior as well as contemporary poets including Shailendra Sakar, Avinash Shrestha, Shrawan Mukarung, Avaya Shrestha, Shakuntala Joshi, Geeta Tripathi, Tanka Upreti, Jyoti Jungle, Bina Thing Tamang, Sabita Gautam Dahal, Deepak Sapkota, and Bimala Tumkhewa.

The event will be inaugurated by Tulasi Diwas. “The event will be organised on a monthly basis to create a platform for discussion, interaction, book launch, readings and foster the reading and writing culture,” read the press release.
