By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 18: A 60-foot tall and 16-foot wide poster of the film Balidan, which is set to be released during upcoming Dashain, was unveiled in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The poster vividly captures the film’s tone, style, and purpose.
It features actor Samir Bhatt with a blood-soaked, wounded, and furious expression, aggressively wielding a spear-like weapon against a giant humanoid figure.
Bhatt’s face reflects anger, courage, and the spirit of sacrifice. With dark clouds, a shadowy landscape, and a fiery background, the poster takes on a symbolic and cinematic appearance.
Speaking at the poster launch, director Santosh Sen described the film as the beginning of a cinematic revolution.
Sen claimed, “Balidan is the start of a cinematic revolution. After various stages of shooting, editing, and creative efforts, we can now proudly say that Balidan is not just a film, it has become a movement.”
According to him, Balidan aims to stand out among foreign films through its inner strength, deep storytelling, and refined presentation.
Earlier, a poster featuring actor Saugat Malla in a powerful and mysterious look was released. Similarly, a pre-teaser launched on lead actor Samir Bhatt’s birthday also gained widespread attention.
Presented by Asusen Films, Balidan features artistes Samir Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Kavita Rai, along with Arpan Thapa, Reecha Sharma, Hemant Budhathoki, Prem Puri, and others.
The film is produced by Pawan Bradford Bista, with Prem Puri serving as the executive producer.
