Bhojpur local govt. distributes agricultural tools to farmers

Bhojpur, July 2: The Pauwadungma Rural Municipality in Bhojpur district has provided agricultural tools to the farmers which is aimed at introducing modern tools in agriculture and encourage farmers in modern farming. 

In cost sharing modality with the farmers, the rural municipality distributed the agricultural tools worth Rs 2.8 million. 

Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, Nabin Bhattarai, said that 42 mini-tillers and 26 grass cutting machines were given to the farmers on the basis of their demand. The farmers participated in the cow farming programme were given the inputs. 

Bhattarai said that this was a part mechanizing agriculture by linking farmers with modern farming system.    

Likewise, Vice Chairperson of the rural municipality, Jyotsana Rai, said the local government has prioritized modern farming system and the farmers in the rural municipality have produced high-quality chilly (Akabare) in a large quality. The farmers in the rural municipality are encouraged to opt for cash crops by distributing agricultural tools.

Rai shared that the women in the rural municipality were targeted by running different programmes to make them entrepreneurs.  (RSS)
