Agricultural tools distributed to farmers

By Our Correspondent,Taplejung, June 24: Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality of Taplejung has distributed hand-tractor to farmers. 

Targeting the main season of paddy cultivation and to support farmers in agricultural work, the rural municipality has distributed agricultural tools, including hand-tractor used for tilling the fields.

Chairman of Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality Keshar Kumar Subba and Vice-Chairperson Ranamaya Gurung have distributed the agricultural tools to farmers within the rural municipality amidst a function. 

Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality Sangam Paudel said that the rural municipality has distributed agricultural tools, including tractors, to farmers at a 50 per cent subsidy.

According to Paudel, 20 hand-tractors, as well as sprayers and plastic tunnels, have been distributed. 

He said that these agricultural tools were distributed to farmers under the demand-based agricultural programme of the current fiscal year. 

Local farmers are happy after receiving agricultural tools during the paddy cultivation season.
