Heritage observation programme conducted

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 22: A heritage observation hiking has been conducted in collaboration between Nepalbhasa Academy and Kirtipur Municipality on Saturday.

Under the 'Jheegu Sampada, Jheegu Sahitya' (Our Heritage, Our Literature) programme, literary figures from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and other districts are participating in the historical and religious heritage study and observation hike of Kirtipur.

The hike started from the main gate of Kirtipur Metropolitan City led by Anuj Pradhan, chief of Social Development Department of the Metropolitan City. It concluded with the observation of Chilincho Bihar, Baghbhairab, Dyopukhu, Uma-Maheshwor, Misa Payaa, Yaka Misa, Indrayani, and Dyodhwakha.

Dr. Bajramuni Bajracharya and Prayagman Pradhan were the facilitators for the study and observation of Chilincho, whose cultural name is Jagatpal Mahavihar, and other heritages.

Mahendra Gopal Karmacharya of the academy said that the aim of the hike was to develop literature from observation of heritage sites.
