By Our Correspondent,Dhalkebar, May 19: Director Roshan Das is all set to produce Pratibaim, a film reflecting the unique culture, traditions, and setting of the Madhes region.
While unveiling the film’s first poster in Janakpur, director Das said that the film will focus on the society, culture, and issues of Madhes.
He added that the film incorporates the festival Sama Chakewa, which symbolises the love, harmony, and deep bond between brothers and sisters in Madhes.
According to Das, the film will be based on family themes but will also touch upon social and political aspects.
He said, “Many films made about Madhes often fail to capture the region’s true beauty and underlying problems. We recognised this gap and have tried to include both social and political themes in the film.”
Director Das added that through the film, they are attempting to present history, customs, and environment of Madhes in a new light.
Actor Samrat Das will play the lead role in the film, making his acting debut. Alongside him, Ramesh Budhathoki, Nabin Shrestha, Alisha Baskota, Birendra Kushwaha, Supriya Sharma and Ronny Yadav will also doing key roles.
The story of the film was written by Director Das himself.
He has previously worked on social and family-oriented web series such as Aarti, and musical films like Afnai Swarth, Aadat, and Rang Kada.
Pratibaim is being produced under the banner of Rays Entertainment, in collaboration with Kings YT Studio and Shreeyan Entertainment.
The production team has announced plans to release the film by the end of this year.
