Morang, May 4: An agreement has been signed for projects worth Rs 152.16 billion during the two-day investment summit organized by the Koshi province government. The Province Investment Summit was organized on Thursday.
MoUs have been signed for 46 different
projects, said Dr Saroj Koirala, the Chief Executive Director of the Province
Investment Authority. The MoUs for investment were signed by Dr Koirala and the
investors.
According to Dr Koirala, agreements
have been signed for eight projects related to agriculture, three related to
energy, 12 related to industry, nine related to infrastructure, two related to
information technology, 10 related to tourism and two related to waste
management.
He shared that among the projects
for which MoUs for investment have been signed, 19 projects are from the
private sector and 27 projects are the public-private partnership.
The province government had put 71
projects on display and estimated investment commitments of Rs 173.49 billion
at the investment summit. (RSS)
