Baitadi, April 29: Preparations have been made to resume the health insurance service from Melauli-based Kesharpur primary health centre.
Chief of Health Insurance Board, Baitadi, Jaman Badal informed that preparations have been placed to resume the service which has been stalled for the last two years after the health insurance transitioned to the 'online' system.
Preparations have been made to procure necessary software to start the health insurance service, Badal said, adding that the municipality has allocated Rs 500,000 for the purchase of software.
The Kesharpur primary health centre would be considered the first point within a few days after completing software procurement, he further informed.
Earlier, Patan Primary Health Centre was designated the first point for the citizens of the area.
Badal said 52,000 people from 29,083 families in Baitadi have joined the health insurance scheme.
Members associated with the health insurance programme get free treatment up to Rs 100,000.(RSS)
