Need to execute utility corridor concept: DPM Singh

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 18: Deputy Prime Minister and the minister for urban development Prakash Man Singh said that there is a need of implemention of utility corridor concept in the construction of urban road.

Inaugurating Gond Rang-Pulchowk road east-way highway in Chitwan DPM emphasized for adoption of utility corridor concept to moving forwared for development work.  

He said that the utility corridor concept would be appropriate for extension of sewage system, drinking water pipe, laying fibre. 

He said excavating pitch while layout sewage system, drinking water pipeline, fibre is cumbersome work. To stop this, going forward with utility corridor concept is needed.  

DPM Singh also reiterated that the incumbent government has been emphasizing the development of infrastructure. 

He added that the desire of people of delivery of good governance could be felt in near future.

DPM Singh said that expansion of Gond Rang-Pulchowk road east-way highway set an example of how success could be achieved through the proper coordination among federal, provincial and local government.
