By Vijay Kumar Sah, Dhalkebar, Apr.16: A fire broke out in the grid at the Nepal Electricity Authority's substation in Dhalkebar, Dhanusha, on Wednesday morning, affecting the electricity supply to three districts, including Dhanusha.

Shambhu Kusiyait Yadav, Chief of Nepal Electricity Authority, Madesh Province, said that the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the transmission line of Dhalkebar Grid leading to Sindhuli.

He said that the power has been cut in some areas of Dhanusha, Mahottari, and Sarlahi.

According to Chief Yadav, the 132 kV line has been restored coming into operation at all locations, but the 33 kV line is still blocked. Its parts have been damaged due to the fire.

The work of connecting the new transformer has progressed, and the line will be restored once the connection is complete.

He said that approximately 70 percent of the total electricity supply will be restored once the two transformers are operational.

Various equipment has been destroyed due to a fire at Grid Plan.

Recalling that there was a fire at the same substation just a few days ago, he said that such problems have started to appear due to excessive load during the summer season.
