Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police passes away

By Jyoti Panthi, Bardiya, Apr.10: Assistant Sub-Inspector Police Top Bahadur Basnet, who was injured in a motorcycle accident, has passed away.

Basnet, who works at the District Police Office, Bardiya, was injured in a motorcycle accident on the Postal Highway under the Gulariya-Nepalgunj road on Wednesday while returning to Gulariya from Nepalgunj.

Kedar Khanal, Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bardiya, said that Basnet received injuries when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a tractor trolley. Basnet died on the way to Nepalgunj for treatment.

The District Police Office, Bardiya, stated that Basnet reached the place after absconding the accused.
