30 injured in Makwanpur bus accident

 By Anil Parajuli, Hetauda, Apr.10: Thirty people have sustained when a bus met with an accident in Bakaiya Rural Municipality, Makwanpur, on the Dharan-Chatara road section.

The accident occurred at 9:30 PM on Wednesday night involving a bus (Bagmati Province 06-001 Kha 0270).

The bus overturned at a bend in the road, which was boarding agriculturists of Agriculture and Animal Services Branch of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality en route to Hetauda via Sindhuli, said 

 Assistant Sub Inspector of Police also Chief of Hattisundhe Police Post, Janak Kumar Tamang, Chief. 

A team led by Deputy Inspector of Police Ram Sharan Dulal of the Area Police Office, Faparbari Makawanpu, rescued the injured and sent them to Hetauda Hospital for treatment.

The injured are receiving treatment at Hetauda Hospital, Makwanpur Cooperative Hospital, and the Bakaiya Primary Health Center Hospital.

The injured have been sent to the New and Old Medical Colleges in Bharatpur for further treatment. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Makwanpur Bishwaraj Khadka said that the injured have sustained injuries to their hands, legs, heads, and various parts of their bodies.

The bus driver is at large and a search is underway. 

There were 31 people on board in the 35-seat bus.
