Myagdi, April 3: A free health camp
organized at Beni witnessed the visit of over 1,100 persons on Wednesday.
The health camp on heart test and
treatment was organized jointly by six local levels including District
Coordination Committee, Myagdi. The two-day health camp was provided technical
support by the Martyr Gangalal National Heart Centre, Kathmandu.
Section officer at District
Coordination Committee, Amrit Subedi, informed that a total 1,115 persons
received the health service from the facility run at Myagdi Multiple Campus. In
addition to the district people from Myagdi, the locals from Jaljala rural
municipality of Parbat were the beneficiaries.
A 10-member medical team led by
cardiologist Dr Rabi Malla provided general test and counseling on heart
disease including the sugar test, ECG, and echo.
Acting chief of District Coordination
Committee, Dil Kumari Khatri, informed that the health camp was organized to
spread public aware on heart disease and to ensure quick access to
treatment.
On the occasion, 152 persons-health
workers, people's representatives, security persons and employees- were also
provided training on the first aid. (RSS)
