PM Oli calls on Thai King Vajiralongkorn

Bangkok, April 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Wednesday.

PM Oli, who is in Bangkok on an official visit to Thailand to attend the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), paid a courtesy call on King Vajiralongkorn at Amphorn Palace in Bangkok.     

The royal couple welcomed PM Oli and First Lady Radhika Shakya at the royal palace. Earlier, PM Oli held a bilateral meeting with his Thai counterpart Paetongtarn Shinawatra at the latter's official residence.     

PM Oli arrived in Bangkok on April 1 at the friendly invitation of his Thai counterpart Shinawatra.     

The PM-led delegation includes First Lady Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, PM's Chief Adviser Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic and Development Adviser Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, and Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, among others.(RSS)
