Damauli (Tanahun), March 28: The Tanahun Hydropower Project has provided skills generating training to the project affected community members. The project is constructing 140 megawatts of energy in Tanahun district.
The Tanahun Hydropower Project stated
that driving training is being given to 36 community people with a purpose to
encourage them for better income generation.
Project Chief Shyamji Bhandari
stated that the training being conducted for 26 days includes beneficiaries
from Myagde Rural Municipality, Rishing Rural Municipality, Bhimad Municipality
and Vyas Municipality.
Under the Project's Livelihood
Reintegration Programme, the beneficiaries are receiving training in Damauli
and Bhimad training centeres.
Likewise, the Project has completed
68 projects under the Community Development Programme.
The small projects as part of the corporate social responsibility include construction of playgrounds, roads, ponds, community building, drinking water facilities and others.(RSS)
