Fire causes damage worth Rs 1.5 million in Saptari

By Sudha Dev, Saptari, Mar.27: A fire has broke out in Gangajali, Saptakoshi Municipality-5, Saptari, casuing damage worth Rs. 1.5 million.

A fire broke out in the cowshed of local Som Prasad Acharya at 3 AM on Thursday, destroying a one-story cowshed made of zinc and wood, a baby buffalo and two goats in the shed.

The house next to the shed was also partially damaged, causing damage worth Rs. 1.5 million, according to District Police Office Saptari spokesperson and DSP Jitendra Basnet.

Acharya's hands, legs, and body were slightly injured while trying to douse the fire.

 The fire was brought under control with the help of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals, said Spokesperson Basnet.
