Thousands benefit from RBB financial literacy programme

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 26: About 10,392 people have benefited from the financial literacy programme conducted nationwide by Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited. 

With the aim of making Global Money Week-2025 a success, the bank conducted financial literacy programme through its all seven provincial offices and all branch offices across the country, according to a press statement of RBB.

Global Money Week, which is celebrated internationally in the third week of March every year, was organised by the RBB from March 17-23 with the slogan “Think before you follow, wise money tomorrow”.

The bank had organised a nationwide financial awareness programme from its branch offices in all seven provinces with the participation of thousands of students from various schools and colleges. 

Under the campaign, awareness programmes were conducted on the benefits of doing business with the bank, digital banking, QR, POS services, RBB Smart Banking, Internet Banking, PIN and password security, OTP, remittance transactions, and proper utilisation of savings and loans, said the bank.

The students were given financial awareness through theoretical and practical methods by visiting the bank’s branch offices. 

‘Global Money Week’, which has been conducted in more than 176 countries of the world every year since 2012, is basically a global campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of financial education targeting teenagers and young adults.

The bank is currently providing banking services through its 294 branch offices, 72 extension counters, 312 ATMs and 99 branchless banking outlets in seven provinces and 77 districts, including all district headquarters.
