Elderly dies after being hit by wooden pole in Gorkha

By Guna Bahadur Roka, Sulikot,  Mar.19: An elderly woman died after being hit by a wooden pole in Gorkha. 

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gorkha, Indra Prasad Subedi, the deceased has been identified as 69-year-old Bimaya Baram of Tukrang, Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-4 Gorkha District.

According to him, Baram died at 1 PM on Tuesday when a log fell from above and hit her on head while she was in the Borakharka forest cutting grass.

She sustained serious injuries and died in the course of treatment.

The District Police Office, Gorkha, said that further investigation into the incident is underway for the septuagenarian was found unconscious with serious injuries to her head and chest.
