Bhaktapur, March 1: Minister for Health of Bagmati Province, Kiran Thapa, reached Araniko highway section at Lokanthali on Madhyapur Thimi municipality-1 carrying a broom and dustbin to support the campaign 'Two hours for the nation'.
In course of 104-week long
campaign, Minister Thapa joined the campaigners for Araniko highway clean-up
programme this morning.
On the occasion, he said local
levels and locals should be made responsible to clean the road, adding
preparation was underway to construct trauma centre in Bhaktapur in order to
provide immediate treatment to those injured in road accidents.
"Road accidents take place
frequently along Araniko highway. The life of the injured will be at risk while
sending them to Kathmandu directly. So, the province government would develop
and upgrade Suryabinayak Municipal Hospital as the trauma centre as it is
necessary in Bhaktapur", argued Minister Thapa.
Sharing that the province
government would allocate necessary budget in the coming fiscal year to develop
Suryabinayak Municipal Hospital as trauma centre, he added that the government
has forwarded necessary process for the same.
Campaigner Nabaraj Kafle said the
campaign has also been launched in Changunarayan municipality as well as a campaign
to reduce road accidents has also been launched joining hands with traffic
