BY AMAR RAJ NAHARKI,Tanahun, Feb. 28: Gorkhapatra Corporation has announced to support the promotion of tourism in Bandipur, a tourist city in Tanahun.
During the closing ceremony of the three-day National Creation Conference organised jointly by the Gorkhapatra Corporation and Padma Library in Bandipur, the corporation’s Executive Chairman, Bishnu Prasad Subedi, expressed the corporation's commitment to provide support. He said that publications would prioritise news and literature related to Bandipur's beauty, history and religious themes. He also urged writers and authors to submit their works on Bandipur to the Gorkhapatra Corporation.
Gorkhapatra Corporation General Manager Lal Bahadur Airi said that simply publishing creations is not enough, there is a need to connect the creators with the place.
Acting Chief Editor of Gorkhapatra Daily, Shiva Kumar Bhattrai, stated that many articles about Bandipur had been published in Gorkhapatra and there will be more coverage to ensure the success of the Visit Bandipur Year 2025.
Bhimsen Thapaliya, Acting Chief Editor of The Rising Nepal, assured that The Rising Nepal would contribute to promoting Bandipur not just in Nepal but also abroad by publishing related news.
Madhupark's editor, Tribhuwan Chandra Wagley, proposed publishing a special edition about Bandipur to introduce it to the world through literature.
At the conference, most of the writers presented their works on the beauty of Bandipur.
Ghazal writers and poets Dr. Gyanuwakar Poudel, Padmavati Singh, Dilliram Mishra, Bimal Bhaukaji, Sagar Udas, Shankar Raj Naharki, Chandramani Adhikari, Vidya Dhakal, Chandra Prasad Neupane, Tilak Luitel, Jetha Bairagi, Narayan Pokhrel and many others read their compositions on the beauty of Bandipur.
The conference, held with the objective of promoting the beauty of Bandipur both within Nepal and abroad through the writers' compositions, was concluded by senior writer Dwarika Lal Shrestha. He said that the conference had contributed not only to the development and promotion of Bandipur but also added a new height to the overall development of Nepali literature.
