Bhojpur, Feb 23: The construction of a concrete bridge over the Kawakhola has been completed.
The bridge connects the district
headquarters with the southern region of Bhojpur, linking Ranibas of
Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality-2 and Manebhanyang in Ramprasadrai Rural
Municipality-5.
The locals have found relief after the construction of the bridge. The bridge was built at a cost of Rs 46 million.

Chair Prem Kumar Rai said that the construction of the bridge in Kawakhola has
directly benefited the citizens of the southern region of the district. The
bridge has facilitated the movement of vehicles and helped in the marketing of
agricultural produce.
Ward Chair of Hatuwagadhi-2,
Bichari Thapa, said that the construction of the bridge at Kawakhola has freed
the residents of the situation of having to cross the river at risk.
The foundation stone of this bridge
was laid on 12 Falgun 2076 with the financial support of the Swiss government.
The bridge however collapsed in Mangsir 2078 during construction. It was
rebuilt to bring into completion finally. (RSS)
