TRN’s managing editor Devkota retires

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 25: Acting Managing Editor of this daily Parmeshwor Prasad Devkota got compulsory retirement on Friday. 

During his career of 30 years, five months and 15 days at The Rising Nepal English Daily, Devkota worked mostly as desk editor while serving as managing editor twice.

He was made farewell by organising two separate programmes--one by the management in the presence of Gorkhapatra Corporation’s Executive Chairman Bishnu Prasad Subedi, General Manager Lal Babadur Airi, Chief Editor of The Rising Nepal Bimsen Thapaliya and department heads. 

Another programme was organised by the TRN colleagues in the presence of Thapaliya. Born in Surkhet district 58 years ago, Devkota joined TRN in 1994.
