PSB should play crucial role in good governance promotion, Minister Gurung says

Kathmandu, Jan 16: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the Radio Nepal and Nepal Television Public Service Broadcasting will have crucial role to play in promotion of good governance in the country. 

Concluding the pre-launching ceremony of PSB on Thursday, Minister Gurung asked the PSB to justify its relevance by working for the cause of the nation and people while remaining as a custodian for good governance.

"This organization should have crucial role in maintaining good governance in the nation. It should point out the problems of the state and the weaknesses of the government. Its relevance will be justified if it could work for the public good," Minister Gurung added. 

Likewise, Minister Gurung expressed the commitment to ensure human resources and institutional management of the two organizations along with the implementation of the PSB. "The officials should not get confused. Everything will be managed," he assured.    

Stating that the PSB will work independently, Minister Gurung hinted at operation of Gorkhapatra Corporation in the same modality in coming days.  (RSS)
