Chandrapur (Rautahat), Jan 16: A total of 531 people underwent free eye surgery in Rautahat.
The eye surgery camp was coordinated by the Nepali Army. It is said beneficiaries are from the impoverished families.
During the four-day campaign organised from January 12-15 at Shibanaga of Garuda-5 in Rautahat, such a number of people underwent the eye surgery free of cost. It was supported by the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (Tilganga Eye Hospital), according to NA Birdal Battalion in Gaur.
A total of 3,510 underwent eye-checkups and glass was provided to the need on a subsidized cost. The beneficiaries are from Chandrapur, Gujar, Rajpur, Garuda and Gadhimai municipalities in the district.
Meantime, the NA has handed a school toilet it built for the Janata Basic School in Chandrapur-7 to the school, it is said.(RSS)
