Rampur (Palpa), Jan 16: A cemented
bridge constructed over the Arunkhola (rivulet) at Jaluke in Nisdi Rural
Municipality-4 has eased the locals.
The construction of a bridge
connecting Nisdi-4 of Lumbini Province and Madhyabindu Municipality-14 of
Nawalpur in Gandaki Province has ended the problems facing the locals for
years.
Lal Bahadur Soti, a teacher at
Jaldevi Primary School, Lamedmar, said the bridge built here has directly
benefited the locals, especially of Nisdi-4.
The bridge, according to him, is an
important enabler for the business, economic, social and educational sectors as
one can reach the East-West Highway from here in about half an hour.
The bridge was constructed at the
cost of Rs 164.9 million, informed Bridge Sector Pokhara's project chief
Gyanendra Prasad Kalauni.
There is a plan to connect Nawalpur
area along the Arunkhola road to Rampur-Mityal of Lumbini Province Palpa via
Bhimad (Tanahun) in Gandaki Province.
Under the project, the road has
been upgraded in Nawalpur section while the Palpa section is yet to be
completed.
The track was opened in 2076 BS
connecting Bhimad Rampur Mityal Arunkhola. (RSS)
