One arrested for fraudulent foreign employment schemes

Kathmandu, Jan.9: A person has been arrested for cheating people by promising foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, police have arrested 36-year-old Rupesh Maharjan of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-6 who was cheating people with fake promises of foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

Maharjan has been detailed of fraud. He deceived two victims into paying Rs one lakh promising them to send them to Poland.

He became contactless with the victims following the monetary transaction. 

After the victims filed complaints, Raj Kumar was arrested from Kadaghari in Kathmandu on Tuesday, and Rupesh Kuma was arrested from Teku, Kathmandu, on Wednesday.

A team of police from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office deployed at Teku arrested Maharjan from Dhobighat, Lalitpur. 

He is sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
