Morang, Jan 8: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has said the report on implementation of federalism and province legislation will be studied thoroughly and enforced accordingly.
He also instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law to study and submit the necessary suggestions on the report in written form in 21 days. The report was prepared by the task force on federalism implementation and provincial law making.
CM Karki viewed the Ministry of Internal Affairs could suggest on law making, amendment and concurrent and exclusive rights of the three-tiers of government, and the law making relating to the ministry, regulations as pointed out in the report. The report would serve as a guideline for the federalism and local government, he added.
He observed, "I am happy that the phase of political stability has started in the country- the government is ready to prepare various bills and amendment proposals for the upcoming session of Province Assembly session."
The CM committed making the report public after three weeks.
The province government had formed a seven-member task force under the coordination of Chudamani Acharya on May 9 last year. (RSS)
